As a Traveling Field Mechanic with MYR Group, you will serve as a critical support pillar for our field teams, traveling to project sites across the designated service area to ensure operational continuity. In this role, you will utilize your expertise to perform maintenance, preventive care, and minor equipment repairs safely and professionally. This position is designed for individuals who are eager to improve their craft daily and challenge themselves; with the right ambition, there is significant potential to advance toward higher-level roles within our Fleet Department.
Your day-to-day involves more than just repairs; you will be the face of our service to internal customers, providing exceptional support while maintaining company vehicles in a clean and professional manner. You will operate with independent judgment, applying established procedures to specific work situations, and may occasionally provide oversight to less experienced mechanics. A company vehicle and fuel card will be provided for your use, with meals and lodging covered when travel is required.
