As a Facilities Engineering Project Manager at the Waterloo Works Tractor Operations, you will serve as the bridge between engineering design and shop floor execution. This role is dedicated to implementing changes to our manufacturing facilities, ensuring that infrastructure, production equipment, and processes operate safely and efficiently. You will plan, coordinate, and execute projects of moderate scope, working within a collaborative team environment to assign and review the work of support and contract personnel.
The position is a 4-month contract (1st shift, 7:00 am to 3:30 pm) with occasional extensions and rare late shifts until 5:00 pm. This is a hands-on, shop-floor role where approximately 75% of your time will be spent on your feet within the factory environment. You must be comfortable working in an active manufacturing setting, wearing metatarsal safety boots, and lifting up to 30 lbs.
Your work will center on multi-discipline facilities and maintenance projects, with a specific emphasis on Emergency Notification Systems (ENS), FM Global Insurance coordination, and IT & network project coordination. You will manage hot work requests and red tag reviews, while providing engineering design for facility grounds and production equipment using both internal and external resources. Additionally, you will lead troubleshooting efforts for facility infrastructure and production equipment to support continuous manufacturing and distribution operations.
Safety is paramount. You will conduct life, safety, and building code analysis, implementing programs to prevent injuries and illnesses. This includes identifying and resolving potential environmental, safety, ergonomic, and health hazards while ensuring compliance with OSHA standards.
We are currently reviewing candidates located in the Midwest. Interviews will be conducted via Microsoft Teams. Please note that this position is fully onsite with no remote work options, and visa sponsorship is not available for this role now or in the future.
We value a business casual dress code and a team-oriented approach. Success in this role requires the ability to prioritize multiple active projects simultaneously and communicate effectively with personnel and middle management. If you are passionate about maintaining a safe, efficient, and innovative manufacturing environment, we invite you to apply.
