About the Role
The Facilities Maintenance Technician (FM Tech) – Mobile serves as a mobile subject-matter expert for base building systems, providing hands-on facilities maintenance, repair, and infrastructure support across a designated district or region. Typically covering two to five distribution or logistics facilities, this position acts as the primary technical facilities contact for assigned locations.
Operating independently with limited supervision, the FM Tech ensures building systems remain safe, compliant, and operational to support uninterrupted customer operations. The role involves traveling between sites as required, coordinating vendor activity, and serving as the first-level escalation for facility issues and emergencies to protect personnel, assets, and operations.

Key Responsibilities
- check_circlePerform preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance on HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and dock equipment
- check_circleTravel between assigned facilities to execute maintenance plans, inspections, and repairs
- check_circleDiagnose equipment deficiencies and determine appropriate corrective actions for repairs
- check_circleConduct routine facility rounds and inspections to identify risks and compliance concerns
- check_circleCoordinate and supervise contractors and service vendors to ensure safety and workmanship
- check_circleMaintain accurate CMMS documentation including work orders, inspections, and asset history
- check_circleEnsure compliance with LGSTX, OSHA, and federal safety and regulatory requirements
- check_circleServe as first-level escalation for facility issues and emergencies to protect operations
Requirements
- verifiedHigh school diploma or equivalent
- verified3-5 years facilities maintenance, building engineering, or industrial maintenance experience
- verifiedValid driver's license
- verifiedHVAC systems experience (RTUs, split systems, exhaust)
- verifiedElectrical distribution systems experience (lighting, panels, receptacles, LOTO)
- verifiedPlumbing systems experience
- verifiedDock door and dock leveler maintenance experience
- verifiedAbility to read blueprints, schematics, one-line diagrams, and technical manuals
- verifiedCMMS platforms and basic computer applications experience
Skills, education and keywords

Education: High school diploma or equivalent required.
