Tennessee Donor Services (TDS) is a designated organ procurement organization (OPO) within the state of Tennessee and a proud member of the DCI Donor Services family. For over four decades, DCI has been a leader in working to end the transplant waiting list. Our unique approach allows for nationwide donation, transplantation, and distribution of organs and tissues while maintaining close ties to our local communities.
We operate three organ procurement/tissue recovery organizations: New Mexico Donor Services, Sierra Donor Services, and Tennessee Donor Services. We also maximize the gift of life through the DCI Donor Services Tissue Bank and Sierra Donor Services Eye Bank. We are looking for a dynamic and enthusiastic team member to join us in Nashville, Tennessee, as an External Affairs Coordinator. This position is vital to our mission of saving lives through organ and tissue donation. You will serve as part of a passionate team responsible for increasing awareness for donation through community outreach, marketing, and public relations.
In this role, you will raise awareness through community events, campaigns, and presentations to increase the donor registry. You will develop strong community and corporate partnerships, engage partners through social media, webinars, and podcasts, and coordinate opportunities for our volunteer Donate Life Ambassadors. Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate effectively in both oral and written formats are essential. Local travel will be required to fulfill these duties.
