About the Role
We have an exciting opportunity for an Executive Underwriter to join an established underwriting team in a rapidly growing and dynamic segment. The individual will be responsible for servicing a renewal book and producing new business through exceptional underwriting practices throughout North America.

- check_circleCollaborate with Head of Commercial Bonds on strategic vision
- check_circleDrive review and enhancement of Commercial Bond Rules and Policies
- check_circleOversee refinement of bond pricing models and risk evaluation frameworks
- check_circleLead internal audit and review processes for technical compliance
- check_circleAct as liaison with Regulatory Compliance for SFAA requirements
- check_circleDrive development of new products and review bond wordings
- check_circleDesign and deliver advanced training programs for underwriting teams
- check_circleAnalyze industry resources and disseminate critical insights
- check_circlePrepare reports on underwriting portfolio performance and financial results
- check_circleReview market trends and emerging risks with HCB
- check_circleEstablish service standards and quality assurance procedures
- check_circleRepresent division in strategic IT initiatives
Requirements
- verifiedExtensive experience in commercial bond underwriting
- verifiedStrong understanding of insurance principles and regulations
- verifiedStrong understanding of insurance regulations
- verifiedAbility to travel a minimum of 15% of the time
