About the Role
This position serves as a vital link in the Dallas Independent School District's mission to provide high-quality education for all students. As a classroom teacher, you will be responsible for delivering instruction that aligns with the district's curriculum program and Texas Education Agency guidelines. Your role extends beyond delivering lessons; you will foster an inclusive learning environment by accommodating diverse student learning styles and utilizing a variety of media and methods to motivate students.
You will work collaboratively with the principal, support staff, and the community to ensure student success. This includes coordinating with aides and paraprofessionals, counseling students and parents, and representing the school at community events such as open houses and PTA meetings. The role requires a high degree of flexibility to adapt to the evolving needs of the classroom and the profession.
Work Environment
This is a campus-based position requiring regular and punctual attendance at the worksite. The work environment typically features a moderate noise level. Travel throughout the district is an integral part of the job. Please note that remote work or alternate work arrangements are not available for this role, as on-site presence is essential to performing all duties effectively.
Compensation
The minimum salary for this position is $67,500 for non-certified roles and $68,000 for certified roles.
