About the Role

The Environmental, Health and Safety (EHS) Senior Specialist serves as a subject matter authority, assisting in leading the EHS agenda for a high-complexity facility alongside the EHS Manager and Plant Manager. You will be responsible for driving the execution and continuous improvement of the environmental, health, safety, and process safety management systems. This role is critical for facilities managing highly regulated processes, elevated risks of serious injuries or fatalities, and potential environmental or legal challenges.

In this position, you will partner with the Plant Manager to shape the facility's external reputation, facilitating interactions with the community and government entities. Your day-to-day impact involves preparing required reports, managing inquiries, and leading governmental inspections, customer visits, and company audits. You will also oversee contractor activities, ensuring local risks are understood and controlled through approved processes.

Beyond compliance, you will champion a strong EHS culture within the facility team. By developing targeted training content and conducting gap assessments, you will ensure the workforce possesses the necessary competence to maintain safety standards. As a member of the site leadership team, you will consult on planning, incident response, and operational compliance, ensuring that EHS goals align seamlessly with the plant's broader vision and targets.

Hiring Process

Relocation assistance is provided for this position. The role is based in Dayton, OH, with a dayshift schedule (Monday–Friday, 7 AM–4 PM) and an on-call rotation on weekends approximately once every 4–6 weeks.
