About the Role

The Arrow EMT responds to emergency and non-emergency ambulance requests, serving as a vital link in the regional EMS system. This role requires a working knowledge of EMS operations and the ability to function under the direction of a paramedic in a patient care setting. Beyond patient transport, the position includes assigned daily and weekly duties such as cleaning ambulances, utility vehicles, and crew quarters to ensure readiness.

Prior to functioning as a licensed EMS provider, applicants must test into the Carle Regional EMS System, which may include a written exam and a skills assessment. A letter of good standing from the most recent EMS system worked is required, though this requirement is waived for individuals without prior EMS experience.
