Wheeler Mission Ministries is a privately funded 501(c)(3) non-profit, evangelical Christian ministry dedicated to sharing the Gospel and helping those experiencing homelessness and those in need. We consider every position one of ministry and a vital, valued part of our team. Our mission is Christ-centered, and we are committed to faithfulness, excellence, and grace.
As an Early Childhood Educator within the Center for Women and Children (CWC), you will co-teach in a therapeutic classroom environment as part of the Compass Kids Program. Your primary focus is supporting children in the infant, walker, toddler, and preschool age groups by providing a nurturing, supportive, and trauma-informed environment.
In this role, you will implement developmentally appropriate, Christ-centered approaches and utilize evidence-based curriculum and sensory tools to facilitate educational activities. You will serve as a key communicator, connecting effectively with children, parents, coworkers, and volunteers to ensure the program meets the unique needs of the families we serve. This position operates within a fast-paced, grace-based setting where you will actively share the Gospel as opportunities arise.
To join our team, candidates must have a personal relationship with Jesus Christ and subscribe to our Mission, Vision, Statement of Faith, and Core Values. The selection process includes a background check, fingerprints, physical examination, and TB test. Additionally, all employees must adhere to our Code of Conduct and pass a drug and alcohol screening.
