About the Role
Cooperidge Consulting Firm is seeking a DSP Engineer to support a top Defense Technology client. This highly autonomous position is designed for a professional with proven capabilities across a wide range of wireless protocols and extensive software development expertise in real-time Software Defined Radio (SDR) and protocol processing systems.
The Engineer will perform cutting-edge research and development to design and implement engineering solutions for collecting, processing, and exploiting complex RF signals within the Intelligence and Defense communities. Success in this role requires the ability to drive systems development projects while ensuring mission effectiveness in distributed team environments.

Key Responsibilities
- check_circleDesign and develop engineering solutions to collect, process, and exploit Radio Frequency (RF) signals
- check_circleDevelop complex modeling techniques, proofs-of-concept, and operational systems
- check_circleApply digital communications expertise including advanced detection, estimation, and demodulation
- check_circleDevelop multi-threaded signal processing algorithms in Python and C++ on Linux hosts
- check_circleDrive systems development projects within the Intelligence and Defense communities
- check_circleContribute to geolocation theory and techniques to solve complex problems
- check_circleUtilize Code Management tools like Git to ensure software quality
Requirements
- verifiedB.S. or higher in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, Mathematics, or related field
- verified5 to 20 years experience in RF signal exploitation
- verifiedSystems development experience in Intelligence and Defense communities
- verifiedTS/SCI Clearance
- verifiedProficiency in C/C++ and Python
- verifiedFamiliarity with Git
- verifiedExcellent written and verbal communication skills
Nice to Have
Experience with Linux hosts. Knowledge of geolocation theory and techniques. Familiarity with SDR, XMIDAS, and wireless air interface protocols.
