About the Role
Based in Huntsville, AL, this position seeks a Class A CDL Driver specializing in Hazmat and Tanker operations. You will operate a variety of heavy and light-duty trucks and work equipment at customer sites, including vacuum trucks, Cuscos, guzzlers, and roll-offs. The role involves performing both driving and non-driving duties associated with hazardous waste clean-up, such as loading and unloading trucks, manual labor to fulfill customer needs, and site remediation.
Safety is paramount; you will be responsible for ensuring all work practices comply with company policies and DOT regulations, including proper vehicle placarding and maintaining daily logs. This position also requires the ability to be on call for emergency response on a rotating basis every other week, handling equipment decontamination and hazardous materials with care.
Training & Onboarding
This role requires all new hires to attend a two-week Academy training program located out of state. Clean Harbors covers all paid training costs and associated expenses. Upon completion, you will be equipped to safely operate commercial trucks and assist field laborers in a collaborative team atmosphere.
