About the Role
The Director of Audit is responsible for overseeing the organization’s client and pharmaceutical rebate audit function and ensuring the effectiveness of financial, operational, and contractual compliance controls across the enterprise. This role also supports organizational SOC audits.
This role leads the planning and execution of audit programs, identifies risk exposures, and provides actionable recommendations to enhance operational execution, governance, efficiency, and compliance. The Director works closely with executive leadership to promote a strong internal control culture and continuous improvement mindset. In addition, this role supports participants in Synergie pharma audits.

Key Responsibilities
- check_circleLead and oversee pharma and client audits for Synergie
- check_circleSupport SOC audit evidence gathering for annual audit
- check_circleCollaborate with Finance, Legal, and IT to strengthen invoicing controls
- check_circleDevelop and execute the annual risk-based audit plan
- check_circleMonitor corrective action plans to ensure timely resolution of audit findings
- check_circleAdvise on new business processes and system implementations from a risk perspective
- check_circleCommunicate with participants during pharma rebate audits to obtain evidence
Requirements
- verifiedBachelor’s degree in business, healthcare, or related field; Master’s preferred
- verified8+ years experience in healthcare auditing (health plans, pharmacy, managed care)
- verified3+ years experience in medical and/or pharmacy drug management at health plan or PBM
- verifiedStrong experience managing external audit vendors
- verifiedStrong knowledge of audit practices, medical/pharmacy rebates, value-based contracts, and invoicing
- verifiedStrong data management and analytics skills
- verifiedEligibility to work in the United States without visa sponsorship
