Job Description
About Mark43
Mark43's mission is to empower communities and their governments with new technologies that improve the safety and quality of life for all. We build powerful, scalable, and elegant software that sets a new standard for the tools upon which our first responders rely. Our users are diverse, and we are therefore committed to embracing diversity of thought and experience within our team.
The Mark43 law enforcement platform delivers mission‑critical services to agencies across the country. When our systems are unavailable, real‑world safety is impacted.
About the Role
As a DevOps Engineer, DevEx, you will take ownership of critical platform capabilities that ensure our systems are reliable, scalable, and equally important: enable engineers to build, deploy, and operate software with speed and confidence.
You will operate at the intersection of platform engineering and developer experience (DevEx). You will design and evolve internal platforms as products, reducing friction across the software development lifecycle while maintaining strong standards for reliability, security, and compliance.
While this role includes opportunities to work on observability systems, prior experience in observability platforms is not required – we value engineers who can learn quickly and apply strong platform fundamentals.
Our Culture
We believe in equal pay for equal work and transparency in compensation. We offer a highly collaborative culture across Platform, Product, Engineering, Security, and Technical Services. Our team values your ideas, ownership, and technical leadership, providing the opportunity to build mission-critical software that directly impacts public safety and career growth in an environment that recognizes and rewards impact.
Location and Eligibility
Our team is distributed across the United States, with offices in New York, Boston, and Manchester, UK. We are a remote‑friendly company and support candidates working from approved states.
