About the Role
As the Development Operations and Communications Manager, you will lead the day-to-day execution of the Foundation's digital presence while supporting donor engagement through marketing, communications, and grant management. This role serves as the bridge between our mission and our community, ensuring our digital platforms are vibrant, our donor relationships are nurtured, and our grantmaking processes run smoothly.
You will be a hands-on, detail-oriented professional managing the Foundation's website, social media strategy, and CRM systems. Your day will involve creating compelling content, designing visual assets, and collaborating with the Executive Director and Daniel Defense team members to drive marketing campaigns and fundraising initiatives. Additionally, you will play a key role in our events, including our annual banquets, by producing multimedia content and managing on-site logistics.
Work Environment
This position is based in Black Creek, GA, and requires an in-person presence. The role involves working within a manufacturing environment, which may include exposure to machinery, noise, chemicals, and lights/lasers. As such, the ability to wear appropriate Personal Protection Equipment and adhere to strict safety and environmental health principles is essential. Occasional travel may be required for Foundation events.

Key Responsibilities

- check_circleDesign graphics and visual assets using tools like Canva or Adobe Creative Suite
- check_circleMonitor social media analytics and adapt strategies to improve audience engagement
- check_circleManage the Virtuous CRM to ensure accurate records, segmentation, and reporting
- check_circleOversee the grant management process from applications to award tracking and reporting
- check_circleCollaborate with the Executive Director on marketing campaigns and fundraising initiatives
- check_circleProvide support for Foundation events including annual banquets and other activities
- check_circleCreate multimedia content for events including digital presentations and auction guides
- check_circleCreate press releases and other Foundation communications
- check_circleProduce and manage a quarterly newsletter
- check_circleDevelop and manage content calendars across key social media platforms
Requirements
- verifiedBachelors' Degree with relevant curriculum
- verified3+ years of experience in digital marketing, website management, or nonprofit communications
- verifiedProficiency with WordPress or similar CMS platforms
- verifiedExperience managing social media channels
- verifiedFamiliarity with CRM systems
- verifiedStrong graphic design skills (Canva, Adobe Creative Suite)

Nice to Have
