The Development Officer plays a vital role in the implementation of our robust annual development program. This position is designed to assist with the identification and cultivation of a growing donor database, conducting prospect research, and developing tailored engagement plans. You will manage a portfolio of mid-level donors ($1K-$10K) to ensure they receive proper cultivation and stewardship, while simultaneously targeting and building major donors at the $10K-$25K level.
In this capacity, you will partner closely with the Executive Director on logistics, materials, and communications to build the Major Gift Program as outlined in our Development Plan. Your work will directly support the organization's growth by preparing segmented mailing lists for giving appeals, enhancing email communications, and creating personalized cultivation and stewardship plans for donors and prospects.
We are deeply committed to our mission and values, seeking a team member with a high degree of resourcefulness and initiative. The ideal candidate brings a strong project management skill set, capable of prioritizing and managing multiple projects while maintaining a deep commitment to our organizational goals. We value excellent written and interpersonal communication skills and foster an environment where collaboration across the team is essential for success.
Candidates selected for an interview will be invited to discuss their experience in nonprofit development, specifically regarding donor cultivation and CRM management. The process includes a review of your approach to building major gift programs and managing donor portfolios. Final candidates will meet with the Executive Director to discuss strategic alignment and team fit.
We are an equal opportunity employer and consider qualified applicants regardless of background, race, color, religion, gender, sexual orientation, national origin, disability, or veteran status.
