As a Developer Programmer Analyst at Cayuse Civil Services, you will serve as a technical lead and senior full-stack engineer driving the modernization and enhancement of mission-critical casework management systems. This role is pivotal in supporting the Department of Family and Protective Services (DFPS) by ensuring their operational applications remain secure, scalable, and aligned with evolving client standards.
You will act as a bridge between technical execution and strategic planning, collaborating closely with technical team leads, UI/UX engineers, business analysts, and DFPS leadership. Your work will directly impact complex systems such as IMPACT, PEIRS, NEICE, and the Child Placement Portal. By fostering Cayuse's core values of Innovation, Excellence, Collaboration, Adaptability, and Integrity, you will help deliver high-quality solutions that meet the critical needs of the communities served.
Your day will involve a blend of high-level architectural design and hands-on development. You will define architectural overviews for new components, review technical specifications from the team, and estimate the level of effort for complex modules. Beyond coding, you will facilitate requirements workshops, communicate technical trade-offs to non-technical stakeholders, and mentor junior developers to ensure adherence to best practices.
You will lead full-stack development activities, optimizing database components, designing secure web services, and driving automation for CI/CD pipelines. A significant portion of your time will be dedicated to ensuring accessibility compliance and maintaining robust technical documentation, ensuring transparency and accountability across the SDLC.
This position is contingent upon the successful execution of the contract by the client. Candidates must be prepared for a flexible scope that may evolve based on the finalized task order. The role requires a high degree of adaptability and a willingness to rapidly acquire knowledge of specific DFPS systems and programs.
