Prairie View Family Dental is a unique practice within the Heartland Dental network, serving the Altoona, Iowa community. Heartland Dental, the nation's largest dental support organization, provides non-clinical administrative support to over 3,000 doctors, ensuring that supported doctors retain clinical autonomy while delivering the highest quality dental care.
About the Role
As an elite clinical provider and patient advocate, you will receive best-in-class non-clinical support to provide exceptional lifetime patient care. This role is designed to offer unparalleled education to enhance your clinical skills within an environment that encourages full clinical autonomy. You will be an integral member of the patient care team, giving your patients the time and attention they need, deserve, and desire.
You will have access to an expansive network of mentors through a 1:1 hygiene mentorship program, ensuring you are 100% supported as you provide care. Whether you are an experienced hygienist or a new graduate, you will work in a secure company with over 20 years of industry-leading experience, offering a stable career with unlimited growth potential.
Schedule and Benefits
We offer an ideal 4-day/week schedule designed to promote a healthy work-life balance. The typical hours are Monday through Wednesday from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM, and Thursday from 7:00 AM to 4:00 PM. In addition to a competitive salary and a $7,500 sign-on bonus, the role includes daily pay, health insurance, retirement savings plans, six paid holidays, and paid time off.
Hiring Process
New graduates are welcome to apply. The hiring process includes a pre-employment tuberculosis (TB) test, which is a standard requirement for dental office roles and must be completed prior to starting employment (not applicable in FL & TN). The test will be arranged during the pre-employment process, with all necessary guidance and paperwork provided.

Requirements

Nice to Have
Experience as an experienced hygienist or new graduate. Experience using Velscope, Diagnodent, digital scanner, digital x-rays, and electronic medical record systems. Desire to continue learning and grow clinical skills to meet patient needs and provide preventative care and overall maintenance of patients' dental health.
