Job Description
About the Role
Frito-Lay is seeking dedicated Delivery Drivers and Route Sales Representatives to join our team. In this role, you will serve as the face of Frito-Lay at grocery stores, convenience stores, and retail locations across your assigned route. You will be responsible for the end-to-end delivery process, ensuring that our products are delivered, stocked, and merchandised to the highest standards of quality and presentation.
Day in the Life
As a Frito-Lay Driver, your day begins with operating a company delivery truck to visit multiple retail locations. Your responsibilities extend beyond driving; you will actively engage with store managers and staff to build positive, professional relationships. A key part of your role involves unloading product, stocking shelves and displays, and rotating inventory to ensure freshness. You will also build promotional displays and track inventory to ensure stores are properly stocked according to company merchandising standards. Additionally, you will complete necessary route paperwork and adhere to all delivery and stocking deadlines.
Safety and Compliance
Safety is paramount in this role. You will be expected to safely operate a delivery truck and follow all Department of Transportation (DOT) regulations when applicable. Strict adherence to company safety policies, merchandising standards, and delivery procedures is required to ensure the well-being of yourself, your colleagues, and the public.
Compensation and Benefits
This position typically pays between $60,000 and $75,000 per year, which is commonly equivalent to $28 to $36 per hour. Compensation includes opportunities for overtime pay, performance bonuses, and route sales incentives based on sales volume and product displays. Many Frito-Lay drivers are eligible for route bonuses and sales incentives, particularly for high-volume routes.
Full-time employees may be eligible for a comprehensive benefits package, including medical, dental, and vision insurance, a 401(k) with company match, and pension benefits in some locations. Additional perks include paid time off, paid holidays, company-provided uniforms, and employee discount programs.
