SameDay City Courier/Delivery Driver

About the Role

FedEx is seeking dedicated Delivery Drivers to safely operate delivery vehicles and bring packages to residential and commercial customers. This role is essential to our mission of delivering reliability and convenience to our customers every day. As a courier, you will be the face of FedEx, representing the company with professionalism while working independently throughout the day.

Day in the Life

Your day begins with loading packages into your delivery vehicle and reviewing your assigned route. You will navigate through neighborhoods and business districts, delivering packages to homes and offices and residences. Throughout the day, you will use handheld scanners to track and confirm deliveries, confirm, and obtain signatures for packages as required. Communication with dispatch is key to ensuring smooth operations and keeping route progress on track.

Beyond the deliveries, you are responsible for maintaining the integrity of your vehicle and adhering to strict safety standards. This includes performing pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections and following all company safety policies and Department of Transportation (DOT) regulations. (DOT) regulations. You will also be expected to meet daily delivery quotas and maintain delivery schedules, ensuring that every package reaches its destination on time.

Our compensation structure is designed to reward hard work and dedication. Drivers typically earn between $20 to $30 per hour, with additional incentives such as overtime pay, peak season bonuses, safety bonuses, and performance incentives. Some routes may offer weekend pay incentives and holiday pay based on delivery performance and safety metrics.
