Dedicated CDL-A Company Driver

About the Opportunity

Family Dollar is seeking experienced CDL-A drivers to join our dedicated fleet based in Odessa, TX. This role is designed for drivers who want to stay active on the road while maintaining a consistent schedule. Drivers will operate company-provided tandem-axle sleeper trucks pulling 53' dry van trailers, featuring top-of-the-line automatic transmissions.

The Role

In this position, you will deliver dry freight to customer stores across Eastern Texas, New Mexico, Arizona, Southern Nevada, Southern Utah, and Southern Colorado. On average, drivers cover 2,000 miles per week with 2-3 loads, making 2-6 stops per load. A key aspect of this role is the hands-on nature of the work; drivers hand unload freight using gravity rollers and are compensated for every unload performed.

Drivers have the flexibility to take their trucks home, provided they are parked in a secure, manager-approved location. The schedule includes weekly home time for a 34-hour reset, though the specific day may vary based on freight needs.

Compensation & Benefits

This position offers a competitive compensation structure including CPM, pay per load, and a Safe & On-Time Mileage Bonus of up to 3% of mileage pay. Drivers receive weekly pay and are eligible for a comprehensive benefits package including medical, dental, life insurance, AD&D, HSA, PTO, and 401(k) participation. Additional incentives include bonus programs and an unlimited cash referral program.
