Tuknik Government Services, LLC, a Koniag Government Services company, is seeking an experienced Database Administrator to support TGS and our government customer at Fort Belvoir, VA. This position is for a Future New Business Opportunity.
The Database Administrator will lead the management, optimization, and security of enterprise database environments, ensuring high availability, performance, and resilience. This role requires strong leadership, collaboration, and the ability to drive best practices across development, infrastructure, and business teams. You will architect, maintain, and optimize database systems that support mission-critical applications and data services, working across both on-premises SQL Server environments and cloud platforms such as Azure SQL Database, Amazon RDS, and Amazon Aurora.
In this position, you will collaborate with cross-functional teams to provide technical leadership and support data integration workflows. The role involves performance tuning, troubleshooting, automation, and the design of HA/DR strategies, including clustering, failover, replication, and backup/restore solutions. You will also manage database security, implement automation scripts, and mentor junior DBAs to contribute to strategic database planning.
This is a Future New Business Opportunity. Candidates must possess a TS/SCI security clearance to be considered for this position.
