Key Responsibilities
- check_circleSupport 24x7x365 Tier 1 SOC operations across assigned shifts
- check_circlePerform alert triage on SIEM, IDS, antivirus, and cloud security technologies
- check_circleApply basic security controls to contain malicious activity and prevent data disclosure
- check_circleEscalate alerts to Tier 2 based on severity and support incident response activities
- check_circleAssist with incident resolution and develop after-action reports
- check_circleContribute to SOC workflow improvements by identifying false positives
- check_circleParticipate in ongoing skill development to strengthen investigation capabilities
Requirements
- verifiedBachelor's degree and one year of IT or security experience
- verifiedCompTIA CySA+ certification within 90 days of hire
- verifiedAbility to maintain security or integrity of critical infrastructure
Nice to Have
3 years of cybersecurity experience; proficiency in Python, Rust, C, C+, Java, and/or PowerShell; academic and/or working experience with TCP/IP networking and services such as DNS, SMTP, DHCP; familiarity with Windows, MacOS, and Linux-variant operating systems including file system structure, system services, and endpoint/server behavior; experience with cloud-based services like Microsoft Office 365 and Azure productivity tools; relevant experience working in a healthcare or academic institution.
