Customer Service Associates/Cashier

About the Role

Costco is seeking Customer Service Associates to serve as the primary point of contact for our members. This role is essential to maintaining the high standard of service and operational efficiency that defines the Costco experience. Associates are responsible for creating a welcoming environment while managing front-end store operations with precision and care.

Day in the Life

As a Customer Service Associate, you will engage directly with members to assist with purchases, returns, and exchanges. Your day will involve greeting members, operating cash registers, and processing payments accurately. You will also be responsible for checking receipts at the exit, assisting customers with membership questions, and helping with membership sign-ups and renewals. Additionally, you will answer general store questions and ensure the front-end area remains clean, organized, and professional at all times.

Compensation and Benefits

This position typically pays $17 to $22 per hour. In addition to base pay, associates may be eligible for overtime pay, Sunday premium pay, holiday pay, and performance-based raises. Some locations may also offer attendance bonuses.
