About the Role

We are seeking a dedicated team member to join our GRBS Family as a School Custodian within the Byron Center Public School District. This is not a desk job; you will be on your feet, moving, and cleaning alongside your team members. The role involves completing general cleaning tasks such as vacuuming, mopping, dusting, cleaning restrooms, and removing trash. You will also ensure all exterior doors are secured and walk the building to uphold quality standards.

For those in supervisor positions, the role includes additional leadership responsibilities such as training new team members, leading the team, managing accountability, and following up on customer concerns. You will travel using your own vehicle with mileage reimbursement and paid drive time throughout the school district.

To be considered, you must be 18 years of age or older with a valid ID. Due to Michigan public school requirements, individuals with theft, violence, or drug-related backgrounds will not qualify for employment. We are looking for individuals with a positive attitude, strong customer service focus, and leadership experience.
