About the Role
This position is responsible for operating radiologic equipment to produce clinical diagnostic x-ray films and specialized scans as directed by physicians. You will perform routine diagnostic procedures according to established standards and practices, ensuring the quality and continuity of patient care. A key aspect of this role involves mentoring and assisting students enrolled in Radiological Technology programs, as well as training other staff members in CT procedures to grow overall team proficiencies.
You will coordinate scanning examinations, participate in quality assessment and improvement plans, and monitor equipment for malfunctions. Success in this role requires a commitment to applying Avera's mission and core values daily to serve patients, their families, and the community. You will work effectively in a team environment, coordinating workflows to ensure a productive and efficient setting while complying with all relevant safety principles and regulations.
Location and Schedule
This role is based at Avera McKennan Hospital in the United States. The position operates primarily on nights with rotating weekends and holidays.
