The Opportunity

We are seeking an experienced Contract Attorney to join and support our business litigation team. This is a remote position designed for an attorney licensed in New Jersey who is prepared to take on active commercial litigation matters and provide high-quality, strategic advocacy. The role offers flexibility with the potential for ongoing engagement based on performance and availability.

Key Responsibilities

• Act as counsel for a variety of complex commercial litigation matters.

• Manage key aspects of active cases, including motion practice, discovery, depositions, negotiations, and hearings.

• Collaborate with firm leadership to develop and execute effective case strategies.

• Deliver clear, practical, and business-minded legal advice to clients.

• Uphold high standards of professionalism, responsiveness, and client service.

• Maintain effective communication with clients, colleagues, and court personnel.

Qualifications and Requirements

• Must be licensed to practice law in New Jersey; admission in New York and/or Florida is a plus.

• Demonstrated experience in business or commercial litigation is required.

• Experience in insurance defense and/or personal injury litigation is preferred but not mandatory.

• Corporate transactional experience is a plus but not required.

• Ability to independently manage active cases and deadlines in a remote work environment.

• Strong written and verbal communication skills.

• Highly organized, detail-oriented, and reliable.

• Commitment to delivering strategic, client-focused solutions.

Compensation and Details

• Pay: $100 – $150 per hour, commensurate with experience.

• Type: Contract position with potential for ongoing work.
