About the Role
The Driver, Trainee Component position is designed to learn the essential functions of the Driver job, including the accurate and timely distribution of products to various customer locations. As a Trainee, you will gain exposure to warehouse and other operational functions as part of the developmental process of becoming a McLane Driver.
You will ride and train with a Driver Trainer to various destinations, gaining knowledge of commercial driving regulations while observing skills in starting engines, approaching intersections, making turns, backing, parking, and maneuvering vehicles on the road and customer premises. This role requires the ability and willingness to select, load, unload, and deliver all products ordered by McLane customers, ensuring on-time delivery of undamaged goods and providing excellent customer service.
