This professional-level sales position is designed to drive profitable growth for the commercial side of the business. The role serves as a critical bridge between customer retention strategies and operational execution, ensuring that commercial accounts receive a superior GAS2 selling experience. You will partner closely with the General Manager to manage team members, oversee driver dispatch to ensure timely and accurate deliveries, and maintain robust commercial stocking programs.
The position requires expert knowledge of automotive systems and parts, with the ability to source components from numerous channels, including special orders, FDOs, and second sources. Success in this role hinges on balancing advanced sales skills with the logistical precision needed to manage commercial credit accounts, core banks, and returns. You will be responsible for building and maintaining a network of second-source suppliers while collaborating with the Commercial Account Manager to determine pricing discounts and maximize market opportunities.
Candidates are expected to demonstrate a working knowledge of automotive systems (including internal engines, suspension, brakes, electronics, and exhaust) and possess the ability to pass the Parts Knowledge Assessment. While ASE certification is preferred, equivalent experience or readiness is acceptable. The selection process evaluates proficiency in operating inventory and POS systems, as well as the ability to interpret technical documents and execute instructions effectively.
This is a full-time position eligible for sales commission based on individual or store performance. The work environment is primarily indoor but occasionally requires working outside to install batteries and wiper blades, exposing employees to various weather conditions. The role involves moderate noise levels and occasional exposure to moving mechanical parts, chemicals, and vibration. Physically, the position requires frequent lifting and moving of items up to 50 pounds (occasionally up to 100 pounds), along with the ability to stand, walk, reach, and climb.
