About the Role
Lennox AES is seeking experienced Commercial HVAC Crew Leaders (Foremen) to join our national team. In this role, you will travel across the United States, leading field teams of 4 to 6 members under the supervision of our Project Management Team. This position offers significant overtime opportunities, with teams typically working 1,000+ overtime hours per year, alongside industry-leading per diem rates for travel.
Day in the Life
As a Commercial HVAC Foreman, you will manage the entire project field team, overseeing installation and replacement of commercial HVAC equipment. Your day-to-day involves reading blueprints, implementing installations from site drawings, and ensuring strict adherence to OSHA construction safety guidelines. You will be responsible for recording personnel timekeeping and communicating effectively with both customers and office personnel.
The role requires working in various outdoor elements, including hot and cold weather, and utilizing mobile devices to receive and transfer information with office teams. You will also operate specialized equipment such as Mobile Elevating Work Platforms (MEWP), Telehandler Forklifts, and Cranes, for which you will receive company certification upon hiring.
Travel and Schedule
This is a fully travel-based role. Candidates must be willing to travel 100% of the time. The typical schedule involves 60-70 hour work weeks, structured as 3-4 weeks on the road followed by one week off work. You will work across multiple locations in Texas, including Dallas, Fort Worth, Austin, Houston, San Antonio, Abilene, and Lubbock, as well as other national sites.
Qualifications and Requirements
We are looking for candidates with 5+ years of experience in commercial HVAC equipment replacements, including rooftop units, adapter curbs, and HVAC electrical knowledge. You must possess a complete understanding of construction workflow, sheet metal and duct installation, and jobsite safety compliance.
Key requirements include:
- A valid Driver's License.
- Ability to acquire necessary state licenses (e.g., Journeyman licensing) where required.
- Passing a National Background Check, Pre-Employment Drug Screening, and Motor Vehicle Records Check (MVR).
- A high school diploma or equivalent combination of education and experience.
