College Physics Tutor
Role Overview
Varsity Tutors is currently recruiting a College Physics Tutor to deliver remote, one-on-one instruction to college-level students. All sessions are conducted online through the company's proprietary Live Learning Platform, allowing tutors to connect with learners from anywhere.
Compensation
The base pay rate ranges from $18.00 to $40.00 per hour. Compensation increases incrementally based on professional experience, with a maximum rate of $40.00 per hour. Payments are distributed twice a week.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide engaging and personalized instruction focused on college-level physics subjects.
- Create and implement lesson plans, assessments, and homework assignments tailored to student needs.
- Utilize live interactive tools, video conferencing, and AI-powered Tutor Copilot features to enhance the learning experience.
- Monitor student progress, offer constructive feedback, and modify instructional methods to accommodate individual learning styles.
- Ensure accurate documentation of session invoices and maintain up-to-date records within the tutor platform.
Qualifications
- Possess strong communication skills and an engaging, effective teaching style.
- Demonstrate expert-level knowledge of college physics and the ability to explain complex concepts clearly.
- Show the ability to personalize lessons and adapt teaching strategies for diverse learning preferences.
- Hold a bachelor’s or master’s degree (completion of a program is preferred).
- Previous experience in tutoring or teaching is considered a positive asset.
