As a Coach/Direct Support Professional, you will provide direct care that goes beyond basic assistance, delivering companionship and a caring, supportive relationship. Your mission is to help individuals with disabilities become as independent as possible, integrating them into employment and home settings while ensuring their health, safety, and well-being.

In this role, you act as a role model to assist clients in achieving a high quality of life. Your day-to-day responsibilities include coaching on coping with challenges, completing daily tasks, and assisting with basic medical needs and household chores. You will also transport clients to appointments and activities, distribute and record medications as prescribed, and advocate for the client's needs. Whether working with male or female clients, you will serve as a vital link in their journey, fostering an environment of trust and growth.

Hiring Process & Requirements

To join our team, you must have a passion for enriching the lives of individuals with disabilities, a caring personality, and the ability to be attentive to details. The role requires the physical ability to lift 50 lbs. and the mathematical skills to complete support log totals. You must maintain a current and valid driver's license and be determined as an "insurable driver" by our insurance carrier. While a Commercial Driver's License (CDL) is not required for most positions, it may be necessary for specific roles.

Candidates must be able to comply with all federal, state, and local laws regarding communicable diseases and immunization policies. Pre-employment testing, including background checks regarding criminal offenses and child/elder abuse, is required. Successful candidates will also need to read, comprehend, and compose written material for case notes and plans, and work effectively as a team member.
