Key Responsibilities
- check_circlePrepare, scrub, and submit daily bundled rate claims for Clubhouse Services
- check_circleVerify MediCal eligibility and aid codes for all Clubhouse members monthly
- check_circleReconcile remittances against submitted claims and maintain accounts receivable aging
- check_circlePrepare monthly revenue reconciliation reports for leadership
- check_circleServe as billing liaison to County of San Diego BHS for claiming questions
- check_circleTrain Clubhouse program staff on documentation required for bundled rate claims
- check_circleWork claim denials, perform root-cause analysis, and correct or resubmit claims
Requirements
- verifiedHigh school diploma or GED required
- verified3+ years of medical billing experience
- verifiedAt least 1 year in behavioral health, MediCal, or county SMHS billing
- verifiedWorking knowledge of MediCal eligibility verification, aid codes, and claim adjudication
- verifiedExperience with an EHR/practice management system used for behavioral health claims
- verifiedStrong Excel skills (pivot tables, VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP or equivalent)
