About the Role
Join Peraton as a Cloud Software Engineer within our high-performance Cyber Intel - Product Development team in Laurel, MD. You will help shape the future of Cyber Intelligence by building impactful cloud-native solutions that operate at massive scale. In this role, you will design, develop, and deliver cutting-edge capabilities that power mission-critical systems across large compute clusters and AWS Cloud infrastructure.
You will be part of a collaborative, agile product team where your ideas matter and your expertise directly influences the success of our mission. This position offers the opportunity to work with advanced cloud technologies, solve complex engineering challenges, and contribute to meaningful national-security missions.

Requirements
- verifiedActive TS/SCI security clearance with polygraph
- verifiedEight years of experience developing software with Java, C, C++
- verifiedFive years of experience developing software for UNIX/Linux (Redhat versions 3-5)
- verifiedThree years of experience in software integration and software testing
- verifiedBachelors degree in a technical field (or 4 additional years of experience in lieu)
- verifiedMasters degree in a technical field (qualifies for 2 additional years of experience)
- verifiedStrong experience with AWS SDKs, APIs, and cloud architecture design
- verifiedProficiency with Infrastructure as Code tools such as CloudFormation or Terraform
- verifiedAdvanced Java development skills for distributed systems
- verifiedHands-on Agile/Scrum development experience
Nice to Have
Experience with Apache Hadoop, Apache Accumulo, and Apache NiFi. Knowledge of security and compliance best practices for cloud environments. AWS Cloud Developer Certification.
