AWS Utility Computing (UC) drives product innovation, delivering foundational services like Amazon S3 and EC2 alongside continuous new features that set AWS apart in the industry. As a member of the UC organization, you will support the development and management of Compute, Database, Storage, IoT, Platform, and Productivity Apps services. You will join a diverse team of software, hardware, and network engineers, supply chain specialists, security experts, and operations managers. Together, you will collaborate across AWS to deliver the highest standards for safety and security while providing seemingly infinite capacity at the lowest possible cost for our customers.
The Hardware Engineering Services team specifically comprises Hardware Design Engineers, System Design Engineers, Software Development Engineers, and Technical Program Managers. All share the common goal of delivering the best Accelerated Server fleet possible to our customers, enabling high performance and scalability for AI/ML and HPC workloads.
Do you want to build the backbone of the Generative AI cloud? In this role, you will design, deliver, and operate AWS cloud offerings that enable industry-leading price performance improvements for AI model training involving multi-billion variable LLMs. You will own and lead the design, development, and root cause analysis of a new segment of accelerated servers.
Your day-to-day involves interfacing with internal and external customers to understand project requirements and facilitate system development atop your server design. You will work closely with customers to understand their technical needs and business goals, leveraging your experience to architect solutions deployed at scale. You will collaborate with an interdisciplinary team of component, firmware, test, qualification, and integration engineers, while leading design and manufacturing partners to bring these servers to the data center. After launch, you will oversee the fleet, monitoring quality and ensuring customer requirements are met.
You will be responsible for learning operational challenges within our existing fleet to improve the current customer experience and developing improved systems for future designs. This includes working directly with vendors and ODM/JDM design teams to develop and manufacture your product at scale.
