The Clinical Research Nurse (CRN) in Oncology is a key member of the Mercy Research team, stationed at the Sindelar Cancer Center. This role is designed to coordinate oncology clinical trials while ensuring strict compliance with all local, state, and federal regulatory requirements. As an Associate Clinical Research Nurse, you will manage the day-to-day operations of research studies, serving as a vital liaison between physicians, nurses, office staff, patients, and clinical monitors.
In this position, you will go beyond standard nursing duties to facilitate the entire research lifecycle. Your day will involve recruiting and screening patients, conducting informed consent discussions, and managing patient visits with efficiency and care. You will also handle the collection and analysis of clinical data, maintain inventory for study drugs and devices, and prepare specimens for laboratory analysis. As the study load and complexity increase, you will play a growing role in building relationships with sponsors and CROs, assisting with training new staff, and supporting ministry-wide recruitment efforts.
From day one, Mercy offers outstanding benefits including medical, dental, and vision coverage, paid time off, tuition support, and matched retirement plans for team members working 32+ hours per pay period. As we grow, you will grow with us in an environment that values your contribution to the future of healthcare.
