We are seeking a dedicated Clinical Psychologist to join our team in performing medical assessments for U.S. Veterans as part of the VA's disability benefits process. In this role, you will review behavioral health records electronically through a secure Web Portal and perform a comprehensive assessment in-person on each Veteran.
This position offers a unique opportunity to serve the Veteran community with a structured, predictable schedule. You will focus entirely on conducting focused medical assessments, with no responsibilities for treatment or prescribing medication. Disability determinations are made by the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs (VA), not by the provider, allowing you to concentrate on delivering high-quality, empathetic evaluations.
As a Clinical Psychologist, you will typically see an average caseload of 4 Veterans per day. Your day involves reviewing electronic medical records via a secure portal, conducting in-person assessments, and accurately documenting exam findings to complete required VA forms. You will be provided with a computer and all necessary tools for documentation, ensuring a seamless workflow within our secure systems.
If you find it rewarding to support those who have served our country, this role is designed for you. We offer a compassionate environment for professionals dedicated to the Veteran community. The position features a full-time schedule (Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM - 4:00 PM) with no on-call duties, providing a healthy work-life balance while you contribute to a meaningful mission.
If you are a licensed psychologist looking for a structured role with a clear mission, we invite you to apply today. Please submit your application to join our team in Norfolk, VA.
