We are dedicated to transforming the lives of children and families struggling with mental health and learning disorders by providing the help they need. As the leading independent nonprofit in children's mental health, we deliver gold-standard evidence-based care, educational resources to millions of families, and training for educators in underserved communities. We are also committed to developing tomorrow's breakthrough treatments.
As part of the Center for Data Analytics, Innovation, and Rigor team, you will serve as a bridge between clinical practice and technical research. Reporting to the Technical Project Manager, you will provide clinical oversight and lead standard-setting for AI evaluation research initiatives within mental health contexts.
In this role, you will translate clinical protocols for manualized interventions, documentation, and symptom evaluations into rigorous evaluation standards. This includes defining safety thresholds and identifying red-line failure criteria for AI systems. You will manage a small team of clinical experts, coordinating annotation efforts and developing clinically grounded rubrics to assess both clinician and AI system performance. Success in this position requires deep clinical expertise in mental health, strong leadership skills, and the ability to foster consensus across cross-functional teams of clinicians, scientists, and data professionals.
This is a full-time, exempt position. A hybrid schedule is required for employees based in the New York Tri-State area or California Bay Area, with a minimum of four days per week in the office on a schedule determined by your supervisor. Remote positions are considered for candidates located outside of these regions. Please note that we are not currently able to employ individuals residing in Ohio, North Dakota, Washington, or Wyoming. The in-office requirement and schedule are subject to change based on the needs of the program and the organization.
Candidates selected for this role will move through our standard interview process, which includes an initial screening, technical and clinical deep-dives, and team fit discussions. We look for individuals who can demonstrate both their clinical acumen and their ability to collaborate effectively in a research environment.
