Just got your CDL-A? Start your Over-The-Road (OTR) career strong with Bison USA. This role is designed specifically for recent graduates ready to transition from the classroom to the highway. You have the license; now it is time to gain the experience that builds a future. From paid training to your first solo load, Bison USA supports new drivers every mile of the way.
You will be driving late-model van and reefer trailers, handling 98% no-touch freight to focus on the road. The position offers steady OTR miles with consistent work week after week, allowing you to build your log while earning weekly pay. After completing your training, you will be assigned your own truck and begin your journey as an independent driver.
Your journey begins with a comprehensive onboarding process. You can expect 3 days of orientation followed by 5 days of classroom and terminal training. The core of your preparation is 4 weeks of in-cab paid training with an experienced mentor driver. A fast-track option is available for those who demonstrate proficiency, potentially reducing in-cab training to 2 weeks. Once you complete the program, you will receive your own truck and head home.
Bison USA is more than just a transport company; it is a place where drivers matter. We offer a supportive environment for those with a positive attitude and a strong work ethic. Our culture is built on career growth, ensuring we don't just hire you, but grow with you. We also offer pet and rider-friendly policies, allowing you to bring someone or something you love on the road.
To join the Bison Herd, you must hold a valid Class A CDL and have graduated from a CDL school within the last 90 days. You must be 21+ years old and willing to run OTR routes for 2–3 weeks at a time. All candidates must pass DOT screening. Ask about our tuition reimbursement opportunities to further support your career growth.
Bison USA is an equal opportunity employer committed to building a diverse workforce. We consider qualified applicants regardless of background.
