About the Role
U.S. Xpress is seeking motivated drivers for a dedicated CDL-A position where hard work translates into tangible rewards. This role focuses on delivering everyday household essentials to keep communities across the Midwest stocked and moving. Unlike standard over-the-road driving, this position involves 100% touch freight, requiring drivers to utilize rollers for unloading. Because of this added responsibility, drivers are compensated at top-tier rates.
You will run predictable routes serving Iowa, Oklahoma, Missouri, Wisconsin, Arkansas, Illinois, Kansas, Minnesota, Nebraska, South Dakota, North Dakota, and Colorado. The schedule is designed for stability, offering consistent weekly home time so you can maintain a balance between your professional and personal life. This role is ideal for drivers who value steady miles, a supportive team environment, and a workplace that recognizes their effort.
Support and Equipment
You are never out there on your own. U.S. Xpress provides an experienced team behind you with 24/7 driver support available whenever you need it. The fleet consists of newer equipment, averaging 36 months old, ensuring reliability on the road. Drivers also benefit from convenient home-base terminals that make logistics easier.
Hiring Process
Interested candidates must hold a valid Class A CDL and be at least 21 years old with a minimum of 3 months of verifiable experience. The hiring process includes a paid orientation upon completion and hiring. All applicants must pass a DOT physical and drug test, meeting specific safety standards regarding accidents, moving violations, and DUI/DWI history within the last 2 to 10 years.
