About the Role
Ryder is hiring a Class A CDL Extra Board Truck Driver in Zeeland, MI, offering a driving career you can feel good about. This position is designed for drivers who value stability, with a local home-daily schedule that allows you to return home every evening. You will be part of a community of proud women and men in logistics, including Military Reservists and Veterans.
As a Company Driver, you are the Captain of your vehicle. You make safety decisions, and your job is protected. We are upfront about pay, routes, and schedules so you can join the team with confidence. Trucks are 36 months or newer and include 24/7 roadside maintenance. Company drivers fuel up at over 800 maintenance facilities nationwide.
The Day-to-Day
You will deliver heavy-touch freight, specifically auto parts, using a day cab tractor and a 26' box truck with a 48' or 53' dry van trailer. The route is local within Michigan. Your typical week involves 45 or more hours, running Monday through Friday with some Saturdays, starting at 6:00 AM. You will be responsible for ensuring compliance with federal and state laws, detecting and eliminating safety hazards, and maintaining accurate records and logs. Loading and unloading freight may be required depending on customer needs.
