This opportunity resides with Global Security (GS) within HII Mission Technologies. Our group comprises live, virtual, and constructive (LVC) solutions, fleet sustainment, nuclear and environmental services, and Australia business operations. As a trusted partner to our military customers, HII designs, develops, and operates the largest LVC enterprise that prepares warfighters for cross-domain battle. About the Role

HII Mission Technologies is seeking a highly accomplished Chief Engineer to support our Global Security Group within the Joint Force Integrated Solutions portfolio. This senior technical leader will guide advanced engineering efforts spanning solutions architecture, systems integration, and cutting-edge Space-related research and development.

In this role, you will support Space Systems Command (SSC) and System Delta 81 (SYD 81), leading complex, multi-year programs executed by a diverse, geographically distributed team. The ideal candidate will design secure, scalable, and mission-ready systems while providing strategic technical leadership across multidisciplinary teams. Your day-to-day will involve maturing prototypes, enhancing Space training and test infrastructures, and accelerating the development and deployment of innovative technologies that advance the government customer's mission. You will present complex technical concepts to senior leadership and DoD stakeholders, lead proposal solutioning efforts, and mentor junior engineers to promote best practices.
