This position is located within our Food Enterprise, where we are dedicated to serving food manufacturers, food service customers, and retailers with a complete range of innovative ingredients and branded products. In this role, you will serve as a versatile operator within the production facility. You will be responsible for setting up and operating equipment, technology tools, and chemical, mechanical, or thermal processes. As a relief position, you will be expected to perform all production operations, requiring you to interact with several variables and exercise considerable judgment. Your day-to-day involves monitoring equipment and control loops, executing manual valves, running analytical tests, and adjusting chemical processes. You will also utilize computer systems to input and record data based on verbal instructions.
Beyond operations, you will engage in preventative and autonomous maintenance using power tools, basic hand tools, and electrical tools. You will troubleshoot complex machine performance issues and provide guidance to peers. The role also includes regular interaction with management to pursue continuous improvement across facility operations, with the authority to make moderate changes as defined by leadership. Additionally, you will ensure the collection and completion of safety permits and reviews, inspect buildings and grounds, and operate mobile powered equipment such as forklifts and skid loaders.

Previous experience with varied processes in a manufacturing environment. Ability to operate production equipment and support multiple production operations. Experience using control panels to monitor and control equipment. Experience with sampling and testing processes. Mechanical aptitude, including the use of power tools, hand tools, and basic electrical tools. Basic troubleshooting skills for equipment or process-related issues. High school diploma/GED or equivalent work experience in a production or manufacturing setting.
