The Chemical Engineer - Modeling & Simulation role operates under the JETS II contract at NASA's Johnson Space Center. You will join the advanced environmental control and life support systems analysis group, where you will simulate and evaluate the performance of life support systems for future NASA vehicles and habitats, including the Orion spacecraft and vehicles capable of lunar or Mars missions.
In this role, you will correlate water and air process simulation models with test results, model physical and chemical processes, and size equipment performing life support functions for long-duration space flights. You will also evaluate and refine requirements for life support equipment to support future missions.
