About the Role
The Roll-Off Driver is responsible for safely, efficiently, and courteously providing waste removal services to customers. You will service industrial, residential, or recycling routes to mechanically collect construction debris, solid waste, or recyclables and transport them to post-collection facilities for proper disposal. This role requires maneuvering a roll-off truck along designated routes, exchanging or delivering containers, and ensuring the safe operation of equipment in various environments, including tight clearance spaces and high-traffic areas. You will serve as the face of GFL, interacting with customers to answer questions and maintain clean sites while adhering to strict safety and regulatory standards.

- check_circlePerform daily pre- and post-trip vehicle inspections and submit condition reports
- check_circleManeuver truck into tight spaces and back up using mirrors
- check_circleUse key maps and GPS to locate service addresses
- check_circleAdhere to all DOT, OSHA, FMCSA, and EPA regulations and standards
- check_circleInteract courteously with customers and notify supervisors of issues requiring action
- check_circleMonitor operations for loose debris during dumping and visually scan sites
- check_circleClean loose debris from truck and surrounding areas to maintain site safety
- check_circleFollow safe operating practices including lock out/tag out procedures
- check_circleMaintain and submit DOT logbooks, route sheets, and vehicle condition reports
Requirements
- verifiedValid Commercial Driver's License (CDL)
- verifiedAt least 21 years of age
- verifiedMinimum one (1) year of commercial driving experience OR CDL school certificate
- verifiedValid work authorization in the country where the job is located
