About the Role
As a CDL Driver, you will play a critical part in our mission to provide a customer-first experience. You will operate a commercial vehicle on established routes, ensuring every order is delivered accurately, on time, and in excellent condition. This role is hands-on and physically active, requiring you to navigate diverse environments ranging from small-format convenience stores to fuel stations.
You will serve as a key point of contact at each stop, interacting directly with store personnel to answer questions and resolve delivery issues. Beyond driving, you will be responsible for loading and unloading freight, verifying product counts, and maintaining accurate electronic logs. Key Responsibilities
- check_circleOperate a CDL commercial vehicle to deliver products safely and on time to convenience retail customers
- check_circleFollow assigned delivery routes and schedules while adapting to traffic and weather conditions
- check_circleLoad, unload, and verify products using material handling equipment to ensure accurate order fulfillment
- check_circleConduct pre-trip, en-route, and post-trip inspections to maintain vehicle safety and DOT compliance
- check_circleMaintain accurate logs, delivery documentation, and electronic records in accordance with regulatory standards
- check_circleProvide professional customer service at each delivery location, representing Core-Mark with integrity
- check_circleCommunicate effectively with dispatch and warehouse staff regarding delivery status, issues, or delays
- check_circleFollow all safety protocols including proper lifting techniques and securement of loads to minimize risk
- check_circleReport vehicle maintenance needs, incidents, or compliance concerns promptly to appropriate personnel
- check_circleParticipate in training and development opportunities to support continuous improvement and safety practices
Requirements
- verifiedValid CDL Class A or B license
- verifiedClean driving record meeting company and DOT standards
- verifiedCurrent DOT medical certificate
- verifiedKnowledge of FMCSA/DOT regulations
- verifiedExperience with electronic logging devices (ELDs)
