About the Role
Launch your driving career as a CDL A Truck Driver Trainee with our team. This role is designed for individuals ready to transition into professional driving while earning their CDL A license. You will train alongside experienced drivers on local and regional routes, mastering the safe operation of late-model equipment, accurate loading and unloading techniques, and strict FMCSA/DOT compliance.
As a trainee, you will progress from learning the ropes to becoming a professional driver. Your day will involve practicing behind the wheel, performing pre- and post-trip vehicle inspections, and utilizing electronic logs to track routes. Beyond the driving, you will provide professional, courteous service at customer locations and support team operations within the Transportation & Logistics department. Hiring Process
To join our team, candidates must possess a CDL A learner's permit or the ability to obtain one prior to starting. You must also be eligible to obtain a full CDL A license, maintain a clean driving record meeting McLane and DOT standards, and pass a DOT physical and drug/alcohol screening. Once selected, you will engage in classroom and behind-the-wheel training to earn your CDL A while maintaining a clean safety record throughout the program.
