As a Shuttle Driver, you play a vital role in the operation of our business by transporting empty trailers to Operating Company warehouse locations and delivering full trailers to domicile or shuttle yard locations. You will drive tandem trailers, tractor-trailers, and/or straight trucks on intrastate and interstate routes, ensuring all freight is moved safely and in accordance with Department of Transportation (DOT) regulations.
Beyond driving, you will function as a team member who communicates professionally with customers, vendors, and co-workers. Your day involves inspecting equipment for safety compliance, securing freight, handling damaged goods and returns, and maintaining general housekeeping in the tractor, loading dock areas, and trailers. You will also utilize equipment like two-wheelers and lift gates to move and stack product cases of varying sizes and weights.
This position operates on a 3rd shift schedule, Sunday through Thursday nights, with overnight work required. The role may include occasional work in the yard. We welcome walk-ins Monday through Thursday from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. for immediate application submission assistance and on-the-spot interviews.
