We are seeking dedicated, customer-focused CDL A Truck Drivers to join our team for regional home weekends. This role is designed for drivers who thrive as team players and take pride in their work. You will be responsible for hauling chip, bark, and demo materials, operating out 2 to 4 nights per week with a Monday through Friday schedule. The position typically involves 40 to 55 hours per week, offering a consistent routine with the benefit of returning home on weekends.
To succeed in this role, you must be familiar with chip trailers, live floors, log trailers, and flatbeds. Candidates must be at least 23 years old with a minimum of 6 months of truck driving experience. You must hold a current valid CDL A license and a current Medical Card. Additionally, you must be able to cross the Canadian border and have no criminal history. Drivers must also have no major driving violations in the past 3 years.
We offer competitive pay, with truck drivers averaging $1,300 to $1,500 per week. The pay structure starts at $0.63 per mile for the first year, plus a $30.00 loading and unloading fee. After 12 months, the rate increases to $0.66 per mile, plus the same $30.00 loading and unloading fee.

RCT has opened up thier long haul fleet and has about 10 trucks currently operating (hauling logs, lumber, and steel) and roughly 60 trucks operating in short haul (hauling wood by products). RCT opened its doors in 1973 by Richard Carrier and since than Richard has taught his children how to run and manage a successful business. In the past 3 years, RCT has developed 2 additional departments; one of which is cutting stumpage for people who have 50 acres of land or more and the other that supplies wood matieral to Burgess Bio-Power that requies a minuium of 500 loads a week to operate and stockpile material for the mud season months.
