About the Role
We are seeking experienced CDL-A Owner Operator Drivers across the United States to join our network as independent contractors. This role is ideal for business-minded drivers seeking higher earnings potential and the flexibility of running their own operation. As a partner within our network, you will have access to a robust agent base, consistent freight opportunities, and top-tier operational support.
You will operate a commercial vehicle in accordance with DOT regulations, planning routes to minimize empty miles and maximize fuel efficiency. The position requires maintaining regular communication with UACL agents for load alerts and scheduling, ensuring freight is properly handled, and representing UACL with professionalism at pickup and delivery locations. You will utilize our technology tools for load management and documentation while participating in optional training programs to enhance operational efficiency.
Compensation & Benefits
Our compensation structure is designed to maximize your earnings potential. In the Van Division, you can earn 67% of linehaul with a rented trailer or switch to 75% linehaul by moving to a weekly flat trailer rental rate. Flatbed drivers earn 75% of linehaul, with weekly flat rate trailer rental options available if you do not own a flatbed. Actual pay-per-mile and weekly gross earnings vary based on customers, freight lanes, and driver preference.
We offer a $5,000 sign-on bonus paid to the truck. Additional perks include access to 300+ freight agents nationwide, 24/7 operations and road service support, and the U-Save Driver Discount Program. Drivers also enjoy hotel savings, cell phone plan discounts, fuel and maintenance perks, competitive insurance programs, and a plates program. Onboarding is streamlined through an online orientation process.
Hiring Process
To join UACL Logistics, candidates must possess a valid CDL-A and own or lease a truck suitable for over-the-road operation. Applicants must meet all DOT and FMCSA qualifications and demonstrate a strong safety record. We look for drivers with a business-minded approach to managing their operations. Once selected, you will complete our online orientation to begin your journey with us.
