About the Company
SME Logistics LLC, a subsidiary of SME Industries Inc., specializes in hauling fabricated steel from fabrication facilities to construction sites. We operate out of terminals in West Jordan, Utah; Pocatello, Idaho; Henderson and El Mirage, Arizona; and Phoenix, Arizona. Our network extends to construction sites across Arizona, California, Nevada, Oregon, Utah, and Washington, with back-haul loads returning to customers near our Arizona and Utah terminals.
About the Role
We are seeking experienced dedicated flatbed truck drivers to join our team. This role is designed for drivers who live within or near our delivery routes, prioritizing a favorable balance between family, home, and work life. While the core of the position involves consistent local moves in Arizona and Utah, there will be occasions where jobs require flexibility to travel to other locations across the United States.
Drivers will be responsible for securing freight by hand and transporting steel loads from our fabrication facilities to various construction sites, followed by returning back-haul loads to our terminal locations. We provide a fleet of new trucks (model years 2021–2025) and dedicated support staff to ensure your success on the road.
Hiring Process
To apply, candidates must possess a valid Class A CDL and meet our safety standards, including passing a DOT Physical and Drug Screen. We look for drivers with at least one year of flatbed driving experience who maintain a clean driving record (no more than two moving violations in 12 months, no speeding 15 MPH or more in 3 years, and no history of rollovers or abandonment).
